About once a week, either for lunch or dinner, Baked tacos make their way to our table. I can cook up the meat and bake the tacos in 15 minutes and everyone is extremely happy.

Crispy Baked Tacos

Crispy Baked Tacos

These are perfect for a quick meal that still delivers on every level. They are crunchy and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (or meat of choice
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups enchilada sauce (green or red
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 12 crispy taco shells
  • Optional Toppings:
  • shredded lettuce
  • cilantro, chopped
  • green onions, chopped
  • sour cream
  • salsa
  • hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350*
  2. Cook ground beef with onion, season with salt, pepper, and garlic.
  3. Add enchilada sauce and turn low to simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Place taco shells on a baking sheet and fill with meat and top with cheese.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Serve tacos hot and let everyone assemble their own with desired toppings!

Notes

-Our absolute favorite taco shells are Siete brand. The same goes with the enchilada sauce! I used the green sauce and It's without a doubt the best store bought enchilada sauce we've ever had.

-They are great without cheese too!
