Simple Teriyaki Chicken

For years, one of our favorite take-out meals has been Teriyaki chicken and rice, but always without the sauce. It just seems too sweet and loaded with not so great for you ingredients. This is my take on it and we never tire of it!

Simple Teriyaki Chicken

Simple Teriyaki Chicken

This simple, clean ingredient teriyaki chicken is ridiculously easy and so darn good.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 bottle coconut aminos
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • 4 Tbs pure maple syrup
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
  • 1 Tbs ground ginger
  • 1 bunch green onions, thinely sliced
  • Hot honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix everything together until the chicken is well coated.
  2. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Grill the chicken on a medium-high temperature on both sides until it reaches an internal temperature of 165*.
  4. Slice and serve over cooked white rice, top with green onions and hot honey.
